Abstract: Human sexual activity or behavior is an act in which the person can express or experience his or her sexuality. In sexual behavior human engage in variety of activities, these activities ranging from act done by alone (masturbation) or act done with another person (sexual intercourse, oral sex) and group sex. Sexual activities become the cause of sexual arousal and during the sexual arousal the person feel physiological changes (Brunell, Webster, 2013). Sexuality is the central concern of our life and it is depend on those people also with whom we fall in love. It is a romantic relationship with the partner, in which both the partners share their thoughts, feelings and emotions with each other (Carson, Butcherand Mineka, 2013). It is a complex behavior which is affected by many factors and the factors can be related to the physiological or psychological health of the person as well as the partner health. Any person can feel sexual dissatisfaction or distress due to any stress or any physical illness. Objectives of the study: To assess the relationship between sexual dysfunction and severity of symptoms in patients with schizophrenia and assess the relationship between sexual dysfunction and severity of symptoms in patients with bipolar affective disorder. Method- Cross sectional study is kind of the observational studies which analyzes data from population and compute the result and disclosure in the study at the same time. Participants are selected only on the basis of the inclusion and exclusion criteria. In the outcome of the study found higher sexual dysfunction in the BPAD group (41.0750±10.84007) in the comparison of the schizophrenia group (28.9500±5.58363). Conclusion-In the both groups negative correlation was found with the severity of symptoms. In BPAD the high correlation was found in the desire and interest (-0.708 and -0.802** respectively) domain of the changes in sexual functioning questionnaire. On the other side in schizophrenia pleasure and desire (-0.503** and -0.427** respectively) were the higher.
