dc.description.abstractMulticast communication techniques are essential for grouporiented newlineapplications such as videoconferencing interactive group games newlinevideo on demand TV over Internet and elearning Multimedia applications newlineincluding pay TV systems and internet conferencing need the support of newlinemulticasting In such a scenario if a video is to be shared only by the newlinemembers of a group it must be made available only to the group members in newlinea secure form Therefore the members must be provided with secret keys newlinegroup keys and the corresponding videos must be broadcast in the encrypted newlineform Here the members of the group will receive the contents namely the newlinesecret key group key and the encrypted video through a secure mechanism newlineThese members can decrypt the multimedia contents including audio and newlinevideo using the group key which is constructed from members secret key and newlineview the contents in the original form newline newlineen_US
