Abstract: This dissertation is intended to know the bank employees as well as the customers perceptions towards the e-banking practices in the Indian banking sector. Banks aim of introduction of technology and e-banking are multifold. These can be categorized into two, namely customer centric and cost saving for banks. Customers are the maximum beneficiaries of the technology and e-banking. In this era of advanced technology, people find no time to go to the bank branch and wait for hours together to get their financial transactions done. Fortunately, the customers can now open term deposit and other accounts in their bank at the comfort of their home through their personal computer or Android Phone with internet connection. Customers can make funds transfers from one account to another account. They are able to pay the bills payments and other payments online, using his internet banking account or ATM cards. newlineFurther e-banking helps the banks to achieve competitive advantage and cost leadership by reducing operational expenses and improving operational efficiency and business development of banks. The present study develops the best strategic model to improve productivity, profitability and customer satisfaction. The world turns into a global village through ICT and India being a part of it, necessitates to advise and to educate the existing upcoming financial institutions and banks on the importance of investing in the ICT infrastructure. The researcher recommends that the banks be advised on how much investment in ICT can boost their productivity. The bank managers need to be sensitized on the importance of this in the present-day situation.
