Abstract: The main objective of this research work is to provide an efficient multicast routing scheme to the users of Mobile Ad hoc Networks MANET The efficient multicast routing solution has been proposed to solve the major issues that are harmful to the wireless network and to achieve better node and packet performance In recent years mobile computing and wireless networks have a tremendous rise in popularity and technological advancement The design of smaller and more powerful operations is rapidly changing the way of the human interaction and communication Along with the growth of mobile computing the MANET has emerged as an important field in the wireless domain due to its simplicity and self reconfigurable MANET is a collection of mobile nodes that communicate with one another via wireless links without the need of any fixed infrastructure Due to the dynamic nature of MANET a primary challenge is rising to adapt the frequent and rapid changes in wireless communication In such networks each mobile node is not only acting as a host but also act as a router which performs the packet forwarding process to other mobile nodes in the network In MANET the routing protocol is designed to identify the multi hop routes to connect with the wireless devices which are present beyond the transmission range The existing routing protocols Ad hoc On Demand Distance Vector AODV Multicast Ad hoc On Demand Distance Vector MAODV and Scheduling and Traffic Management in Ordered Routing Meshes STORM are effective for unicast and multicast routing in MANET These routing protocols identify and maintain the optimized routes to connect the wireless devices that are currently required for many real time applications newline
