Abstract: | Management is an evolving discipline which has pervaded virtually the entire world. newlineHuman Resource Development, or commonly called HRD, occupies a vitally newlinesignificant place in building, not only an organization, but an entire nation. Today, newlineH.R. is viewed in its entirety, involving various aspects of human personality newlineindividually, group-wise, and in the context of total organization. This is a departure newlinefrom the earlier belief that Human Resource could be developed through newlinePerformance Appraisal. This study has been undertaken, keeping in mind this newlinefundamental background. Accordingly, three aspects of H.R. have been studied in this newlineresearch work. They are Individual level development, Group level development, and newlineOrganizational level development. The research study is based on the basic newlinehypothesis that the development of human resource and its proper utilization, results newlinenot only in augmenting individual and organizational level effectiveness, but in newlineraising the overall organizational health, climate, and culture. For this purpose, skillwise newlineand behavior-wise factors have been selected for the study. Evaluating newlineindividual performance is a human resources process that exists in one or another newlineform in any organization. Most of the managers and employees have only a few newlinepositive things to say about Performance Appraisal and many of them even dislike it. newlineThe aim of the research is to investigate the employees opinions about the newlineperformance appraisal and their attitude towards work. newlineThe study has been divided into seven chapters. newlineThe first chapter deals with the importance of the Human Resource Development in newlineindustrial organizations .an introductory framework discussed. newlineThe second chapter is the conceptual framework which spells out the various factors newlineinfluencing performance appraisal and related concepts. In other words, it explains the newlineparameters of Human Resource Development and industrial organization. newlineThe third chapter consists of Review of Research Literature.
