Abstract

Brain tumor is one of the major causes for the increase in mortality newlineamong children and adults The early detection is the most effective way to newlinereduce the mortality The evolution of Computer Aided Diagnosis CAD newlinesystem has made a giant leap in the effective treatment and is meant to be an newlineinstrument in the hands of the radiologists In this work Magnetic Resonance newlineImaging MRI of brain images have been investigated newlineIn medical image processing if any segmentation scheme fails to newlinedetect the Region of Interest ROI precisely it leads to misclassification newlinewhich will have grave effects on the human beings Another important newlinechallenge in image processing is the presence of noise during the image newlinecapturing process which may result either under segmentation or over newlinesegmentation This research work focuses on these two challenges and has newlineimplemented effective segmentation methodology employing metaheuristic newlinealgorithms newline newline
