Abstract: Market Price Information System (MPIS) is basically concerned with the process of newlinecollecting, processing, storing and disseminating the relevant information to beneficiaries newlineand management. It is important for the planning, implementation and decision making. newlineNepal is rapidly adopting the new technology to improve the efficiency of organizational newlineperformance and organizing the information in online information system. Gradually, paperpencil newlineworks are transferring into digital system. Though it is still not so efficient but newlineimproving gradually. Nepal is rich in natural forest; basically people are earning good newlineamount from non-timber forest product (NTFP). According to the Ministry of Forest and Soil newlineConservation of Nepal (2015), forest has created over 1.2 million full time jobs and make newlineforestry sector able to contribute at least 7% on Nepal s GDP. There is significant newlinecontribution of forest product in National and individual income,thus, there is a need to newlinedisseminate the importance of forest and NTFPs in livelihood of usufructs and sustainable newlinemanagement of forest and forest products for long term. newlineThe study aims to identify the role of MPIS in distribution of NTFPs among the newlineusufructs and sustainable management of NTFPs in long run. Information of market and newlineprice of NTFPs is important for usufructs to protect the forest and timely cultivate and harvest newlinethe non-timber forest product. The study has explored the knowledge and accessibility of newlineusufructs on MPIS of NTFPs, current practice of MPIS, effectiveness of MPIS and newlinechallenges and opportunity of equitable distribution of NTFPs among usufructs. newlineThe study was based on the cross-sectional descriptive and exploratory research newlinedesign. Data was collected from 466 respondents of Dolpa, Salyan and Banke districts of newlineNepal. Mixed method was adopted to collect the data. Simple random sampling technique newlinewas used to select the respondents.
