dc.description.abstract | Gender equality and poverty issues persist to take over the world social-economic and political discussions. Rwanda is a poor nation and her poverty is largely caused by several factors but some of the main factors include colonial and neocolonial capitalistic masters which created the global social economic imbalance between and among states. Prior to colonization, Rwanda was such a very large and naturally endowed nation before the border demarcation by the imposing imperial powers. However, subsequent to the demarcation, Rwanda was reduced to a very small country in Africa in particular and the world in general. Colonial masters also promoted men and demoted women in all social political and economic sectors of the state that was not averted by the Rwandan leaders who succeeded colonial leadership after the so called social economic and political independence. This has resulted into having the majority of its population who are underutilized to date. | - |
