Worldwide chicken consumption has generated billions of feather waste regularly Feathers are keratin as like wool but the fibre surface area is much larger because the diameter of the fibre is much smaller The crystal structure of chicken feather fibres also makes them naturally stable and durable The aim of this research is to utilize the unnoticed chicken feather fibre to develop compression moulded composite for acoustic purpose and also to investigate the effect of addition of jute fibre with chicken feather fibre on mechanical and acoustic properties by producing hybrid composite Natural fibres are often used as reinforcement for thermoplastic bio composite products These products exhibit numerous advantages such as good mechanical properties low density and biodegradability Natural fibres are usually reinforced with thermoplastic resin using injection moulding technology and limited research has been done on compression moulded thermoplastic composite Therefore compression moulding technique has been chosen to prepare the composite boarden_US
