Abstract: | Modern power systems are nowadays facing new challenges due to newlinederegulation and restructuring of electricity market Power system newlineoperatorsplanners are always faced with the problems of how to improve the newlineperformance of power system through various objective functions and newlineconstraints There are number of ways to achieve these goals Researchers newlinehave developed many conventional and heuristics techniques to solve optimal newlinepower flow problem with FACTS devices But these techniques suffer from newlineslow convergence and local solution instead of global optimum newlineTo overcome these drawbacks in the present study new newlinecomputational intelligence techniques such as hybrid Particle swarm newlineoptimization modified bacterial foraging algorithm and improved shuffled newlineleaping frog algorithm dynamic bacterial foraging algorithm have been newlineproposed to solve optimal power flow with FACTS devices newline newline |
