Abstract: | Historical motifs and designs have started to be used recurrently in various industries. Textile products fashioned in today s world play an essential role in conserving cultural and historical values. Combining contemporary flairs with historic designs certifies their subsistence for future. The research investigates in which area of textile design, the Mughal monumental motifs of Agra are being used today. newlineThe research would enable a transformation in an arena of contemporary textile design, by building fresh and more creative influences between past and present. Exploration will support young designers to cultivate their creativity, to appraise new and emerging skills and enrich their distinct, creative and technical skills. newlineThrough their resourceful and ground breaking styles these designers have formulized diverse narrations by nurturing surprising relationships between the historic and the contemporary with superficially divergent techniques and styles. Seeking towards further resourceful choices, it was observed that textile and fashion designers can discover a huge platform in the form of Agra s Mughal monuments in designing their products. newlineRejuvenating historical designs provided an instrumental research resource for the newer generation of designers in the field of textile industry. The study has come up with some noteworthy and unknown facts of traditional and contemporary collections in the area of textiles. It initiated new talents and skills towards the design ideas that are imbibed with the classical and traditional designs, inspiring creative designer products often followed by the common people. newlineThe heritage designs can also be appropriately combined with the latest softwares of textile design to increase the production with fast changing fashion cycles. Some of the designs are experimented by digitizing with an aid of computer aided designing softwares, replicating the combination of historic art with fresh technology. This will augment the library of classical patterns and designs and will give a way to fresh developments in classical Mughal designs. newline |
