Over past two decades, there have been remarkable growth and newlineubiquitous use of mobile wireless gadgets. Also hunger extant for the high newlinefidelity audio video and multimedia is never abated As the existing wireless newlinenetworks operating with lower BW cannot be supported such an ever increasing newlinetraffic demand The capacity of the wireless communication systems can be newlineaugmented with a proposal to shift carrier frequency Hence concept of newlineadopting Millimeter Wave MMWave signal strikes as it affords a wide newlinebandwidth BW in the range of 270 GHz Since MMWave generation through newlineconventional electronics is costlier optical generation of MMWave has been newlineexplored over the past decades In the optical generation of MMWaves newlineespecially use of external modulation has attracted the attention of the newlineresearchers due to its higher modulation BW low phase noise and its newlinetunability In this thesis the optical generation of MMWaves using external newlinemodulation based frequency multiplication technique sans optical filters is newlineinvestigated and presente newline newline
