Pervasive Computing is affected by resource constrained devices unreliable connection application diversity with different protocols and diverse standards This results in heterogeneous infrastructure among devices Further the environment for the pervasive newlinedevices changes continuously due to user mobility This necessitates continuous adaptation of mobile devices Some of the open challenges that need to be addressed are mobility heterogeneous environment uniform programming interface middleware adaptation dynamic adaptation reduced footprint multiprotocol communication and device infrastructure utilization Currently available middleware for pervasive computing have been built with restrictions like these are designed for non heterogeneous newlineplatforms suitable only for resource rich devices operate with single communication protocol unable to adapt due to change in network interface incapable of middleware adaptation and dependency on static centralized infrastructure newline newlineen_US
