Abstract: | Vibration analysis is found to be a significant approach in newlineindustries for analyzing the performance of rotating machinery Vibration is newlinecaused due to bearing faults angular and parallel misalignments loose newlinejoints and improper mounting Vibration textures vary signal patterns in time newlineand frequency domain and they carrying the impact of certain faults in newlinerotating machinery The measurement of vibration becomes necessary due to newlinethe increasing demand for higher productivity power consumption economic newlinedesign with higher operating speed and assurance for the safety margins newlineVibration analysis is further useful in identifying the natural frequencies newlineto avoid resonance and to prevent structural instability newlineThe aim of this research is to develop an enhanced virtual newlineinstrument system with intelligent monitoring and analysis techniques to newlineestimate performance characteristics of rotating machinery and to determine newlineits operating conditions newlineIn this proposed research work the first approach aims to develop newlinean intelligent system with enhanced features for monitoring and analysis and newlineenergy loss calculation in rotating machinery Second a fuzzy logic based newlineclassification of vibration signal to discriminate different operating conditions newlineis proposed In the third approach an ANN based fault identification is newlineconfigured using BPN for predictive maintenance of the rotating machinery newlineA PID control with auto tuning parameters has also been proposed for newlinecontrolling the vibrations All these approaches are configured by using newlineLabVIEW software and related DAQ card for real time evaluation of the newlinesystem with required signal conditioning units newlineThe proposed VI based rotating machinery analysis system is newlineconfigured through LabVIEW software for its graphical environment newlinemodular design with reconfigurability and data logging capability To newlineinterface signals from accelerometer and piezoelectric sensors the Data newlineAcquisition Cards USB 6009 and PCI 6251 with required specifications were newlineselected with suitable terminal blocks newline newline |
