Abstract

The progress, welfare and prosperity of a nation mainly depend on rapid, planned and sustained growth in the quality and extent of education. It is conceived as a powerful agency that is instrumental in bringing about the desired behavioral changes in the social life of the people of the nation. In this context, the teachers have more responsibilities in molding the character of students. Teachers help them in their development of physical, mental, emotional and intellectual growth. Teaching is one of the most influential professions in society. In their day to day work, teachers can and do make huge difference to children s lives directly through the curriculum they teach and indirectly through their behaviour. Emotional intelligence, adjustment, attitudes, values helps them, so teacher-trainees education is an important area of concern in our educational system. newlineThis investigation aimed to study the emotional intelligence, academic anxiety adjustment of students-teachers in government and private B. The objectives of the study is to find out effect of emotional intelligence, academic anxiety adjustment on each other and their inter relationship in reference to male and female students-teacher and government and private B. Ed. colleges. The Intensity of relationship between different levels of above variables for male and female student-teachers and government and private B.
