Abstract: | newlineBambusa vulgaris is taxonomically a grass and belong to family Graminee. Its habit is tree-like and having woody stems 20 metre long and 3 to 12 centimetre in diameter. Bambusa genus is most common widespread member while vulgaris species obtain rarely. It contains some pharmacological chemical constituents such as choline, betain, hydrate of silicic acid, nuclease, urease, proteolytic enzyme, cyanogentic glycoside and an alkaloid, crude protein, fiber, vitamin, carotene and holocellulose. Spermacoce hispida L. belong to Rubiaceae family. Major chemical constituents are ursolic acid, D-mannitol, sitosterol, isorhamntein, rutin, quercetin, iridoids, borreline and sesquiterpens. Preliminary investigation, Phytochemical and pharmacological activity carried out on selected extracts, Isolation of active constituents has been done then prepared suitable drug delivery system. newlineFrom the results of present study, various preliminary standards for crude drug of B. vulgaris and S. hispida as well as its extracts were obtained which can serve as standards for identification of this plant material. It may be used as herbal drug delivery system for the improvement of activity of niosomes formulation than extracts newline newline |
