Abstract: With the introduction of high yielding crop cultivars newlineand use of high analysis chemical fertilizers, soils are newlineshowing a rapid decline in their ability to supply the newlineessential micronutrients in required quantities. newlineAccelerated depletion of these trace elements from the newlinefinite soil reserves have restrained and constrained newlinesustainable growth in productivity of several crops newlineincluding vegetables. As a result, recent years have newlinewitnessed an ever - sharpening research focus on newlinemicronutrients. However, several aspects like newlinemicronutrient fertilization of vegetables have not newlinereceived due attention. A vast stretch of land where newlinevegetables are grown in the Agra region is found to be newlinedeficient in these micronutrients. Hence, field newlineexperiments were conducted to study the zinc and boron newlinenutrition of vegetable crops. In addition, a field newlineexperiment was also carried out to study the effect of Zn newlineand B on onion crop. The highlights of the investigation newlinecan be summarized as under: newlineR e s p o n s e o f v e g e ta b le c ro p s to z in c newline148 newlinegt Application of Zn has remarkable positive effect on newlinethe yields of all the vegetable crops. However, the newlinequantum of increase in yields as a result of 30 kg newlineZnSO4 ha-1 varied ranging from 22.6 percent newline(carrot) to 25.7 percent (cauliflower). newline
