dc.description.abstractSection-A: Antioxidant activity. Antioxidats are those compounds which slows down the rate at which something decays because of oxidation. Antioxidant compounds are capable to either delay or inhibit the oxidation processes which occur under the influence of atmospheric oxygen or reactive oxygen species. Antioxidants are responsible for the defense mechanism of the organism against the pathologies associated to the attack of free radicals. Herein, we report the antioxidant activity of some newly synthesized compounds. Antioxidant activity was measured by DPPH and OH free radical model. The effectiveness of antioxidant potential was determined in terms of percent DPPH and OH radical scavenging assay. The DPPH radical scavenging assay has been used for preliminary screening of the samples for antioxidant activity. The proton radical scavenging action is known as an important mechanism of antioxidants. newline newlineSection-B: Antimicrobial activity. The newly synthesized compounds like benzothiazolo pyrimido pyrimidine, pyrazolo pyrimidine, pyrimido pyrimidine, benzothiazolo pyrimido thiazine, pyrazolo thiazine, benzothiazolo pyrazolo pyrimidine and pyrazolo pyrazoles were evaluated for their antimicrobial activity against different bacteria. The antimicrobial activity was done by disc diffusion method. Considerable antimicrobial potential was observed by tested compounds. newline
