The main aim of education is not to make the students literate only, but to develop constructivism in them, so that they can develop their own concepts and becomes educated. In order to achieve these, several types of changes have brought about in Indian education system and introduction of computers is one such step. With this, the students are more inclined towards concept clarity than mere cramming of facts. This study is mainly concerned with the empirical investigation of the effect of computer assisted learning on self confidence, interactive skills and achievement of adolescents. For this purpose 120 adolescents were chosen from various Public and private, rural and urban area schools of Fazilka District. These students were classified in experimental and controlled group on the basis of their scores on the intelligence test namely Samoohik Mansik Yogita Pariksha (R.K.Tondon, 1973). After both the groups were given a pre test on the selected variables, the experimental group was taught with computer assisted software, while the controlled group was taught with the traditional lecture method. After that a post test was given to both the groups and their performance was compared. For analysis, mean, SD, SEM, skewness, kurtosis, t-test, F-test and coefficient of correlation were used. The results revealed that there is significant effect of computer assisted learning on all the three selected variables namely self confidence, interactive skills and achievement of adolescents in post-test as compared to pre-test in case of experimental group while in case of controlled group, no such significant impact was noticed which clearly shows the impact of this innovative teaching methodology on the various aspects of personality of the adolescents.
