dc.description.abstractThe current study is an exploration carried out on the possibility of integrating enhancing and developing specific language communication and skills with activities based on regular games The research, with the careful review of the existing methods and practices in India and outside brings out the necessities for teaching and learning language through activities at the college level newlineIn addition the study also brings the essential details with regard to integration of language training and regular outdoor games, with perceived target skills and requirements to promote language learning With an integrated curriculum prepared with objectives and expected outcome two different groups of students were taken for the study and trained newlineA questionnaire has been developed to assess their proficiency and a pre test has been conducted prior to the training In the same way a post test has also been conducted after the training In the research the results of the pre-test and post test with the variables have been analysed and explained. This study, with the clear mention of its limitations also suggests avenues for further research and opens up the possibility of considering the integration of regular games with that of language learning as a regular feature in Indian classrooms to cater effectively to the needs of Indian language learners newline newline
