dc.description.abstractWireless Sensor Network has gained prominence for special applications in recent times WSN is an event driven paradigm that relies on the collective effort of large number of heterogeneous and cooperative micro sensor nodes This has several advantages over traditional sensing methods including greater accuracy larger coverage area and newlineextraction of localized features Even though WSN is diverse and dynamic it has few limitations such as low bandwidth, limited memory lesser computational resource and newlinelimited battery power Therefore energy efficient data transfer battery lifetime improvement effective routing data aggregation transmission control and medium access are few research issues of concern in the area of WSN Till date efficient data transfer in WSN proves to be a critical issue Hence this research work proposes energy efficient traffic free routing schemes for effective and reliable transmission of information in WSN newlineThis research work proposes four novel methodologies namely newline1 Fuzzy Based Energy Efficient Clustering Technique newline2 Cluster Based Time Division Multiple Access Scheduling Scheme newline3 Two Cluster Head Energy Efficient WSN architecture and newline4 Traffic Free Routing technique using Path Load Factor for WSN newline The first proposed methodology FBEEC in WSN elects effective cluster head from the available sensor nodes using fuzzy rule set The fuzzy logic gives higher scalability than other clustering algorithms The triangular membership function is used to represent the input and output variables which have been adopted in this research work For every time t the FBEEC estimates the rank of the nodes based on received signal strength distance newlinewith base station residual energy and node density If the rank at t 1 is less than the estimated rank at t then the sensor node with the highest node rank is selected as new cluster head newline newlineen_US
