The role of fibres in the construction industry as a reinforcing material is gaining popularity due to its high tensile strength and light weight Due to the non corrosive property the fibres replace the steel as an internal reinforcement and strengthening material for the reinforced concrete structures The scope of the present study is to investigate the influence of the type of fibre the type of adhesive and the wrapping scheme towards the flexural strengthening of the reinforced concrete beams Investigation is also made to examine the effectiveness of the strengthening method on the flexural behaviour of reinforced concrete beams An effort has been made to focus on the behaviour of concrete beams internally reinforced with Glass Fibre Reinforced Polymeren_US
