Abstract: Expansion of bivalve aquaculture increases the risk of zoosanitary newlineproblems as disease outbreaks emerges in major bivalve farming regions around newlinethe world (Renault, 1996; Berthe, 2005; Aranguren and Figueras, 2016). Lack of newlinepublished information on the pathogen profile of the cultured species being moved newlinefrom their native grounds aggravates the difficulty in disease diagnosis and newlinetreatment. An active pathological survey of natural beds and culture sites provides newlineinformation on the sanitary status and helps in decision making on the selection of newlinebroodstock or farming sites and preventing or managing potential problems like newlinedisease outbreaks. newline
