Abstract: | The purpose of our research is to develop a more profound newlineunderstanding of the concepts of mission and vision, especially considering their use newlinewith strategic management of higher educational institutions. By combining these newlinetwo aspects, we contribute to the body of literature on values in education. newlineMission and vision represent a significant area of research, as they are largely newlinerecognized and incorporated in companies of all sizes. In addition to that, those newlineconcepts are taught to business students all over the world. Nevertheless, there is newlinealso a lot of criticism scrutinizing the benefits of these concepts to be found in the newlineliterature. Furthermore, it is eminent that the existing literature focuses primarily newlineon the content of the statements rather than their actual benefits. Our thesis helps newlineto understand the actual impact of mission, vision and strategic management on newlinehigher educational institutions and close the research gap. newlineObjectives of the Study: Following are the specific objectives of the study the newlineresearcher planned to investigate, building on the main theme stated in the newlineresearch aim. newline1) To understand the awareness of vision and mission statements amongst the newlineauthorities of higher educational institutions of marathwada region. newline2) To study the use of mission and vision statements as foundational component for newlineinstitute s strategic direction by higher educational institutions of marathwada Region newline |
