Abstract: | Wounds and wound care continue challenge to patients, families, professionals, and health care systems. In developed countries, approximately 1-2% of the population experiences a chronic wound during their lifetime. The socioeconomic consequences of having a chronic wound include severe patient suffering, restricted mobility, loss of employment, and decreased quality of life (Barbara Pieper, 2005). newlineVrana (Wound) in Ayurveda has stated as VranaGatravichurne i.e. of tissue destruction and discolouration of viable tissue due to various etiology. Our ancestors in prevedic period had tried various Dravya for wound healing and gave a vivid description about its management. newline newline |
