Abstract: With the advancement in technology, new items are being invented and existing items newlineare updated by researchers very often but these innovations are not just limited to the newlinemanufacturing process. An experimenter needs to ensure that the product works satisfactorily newlinefor a stipulated time period. For this purpose, life testing experiments are newlineperformed in a laboratory under specified environmental conditions where manufactured newlineitems are observed till the occurrence of some adverse event. If the end point is death of newlinea unit, the resulting data are literally survival times. However, data of similar form can newlinebe obtained when the end-point is not fatal, such as recurrence of symptoms, relief from newlinetrauma. In this case, the observations are often referred to as time to event data. Thus, newlinethe knowledge of the failure free functioning of any life time unit is of great importance. newline
