Abstract: | Machining parameters and tool geometry are the important newlineparameters which affect the machinability properties The economics of newlinemachining involves in the determination of optimum process parameters like newlinecutting speed feed and depth of cut in order to optimize an objective newlinefunction During machining tools are subjected to rubbing process which newlinecreates friction between the cutting tool and work piece material This results newlinein progressive material loss in the cutting tool In this work sustainability in newlinemanufacturing is accomplished by introduction of a vortex tube Vortex tube newlineis a mechanical device that separates the hot compressed air and the cold air newlinethat flows through the tube and exits the cold air alone on to the workpiece newlineVortex tube is used for cooling the cutting tools in turning and milling newlineoperations Modern CNC machine tools are embedded with the vortex tube newlinefor effective heat removal process from the cutting tool By the newlineimplementation of vortex tube the liquid coolant is totally eliminated newline newline |
