Design and analysis on honeypot with Intrusion detection and prevention System

Abstract

Zero day exploits are emerging day by day and lot of payloads are tested against an organization security measures The key problems in present day attacks were Advanced Persistent Threats or APTs are a kind of cyber attack that can go undetected for a long period of time Hence it is mandatory to protect the network against such attacks In order to address the above stated problem an intelligent Honeypot system with IDS is proposed to newlinesupplement the active defense for the security The idea behind the proposed Honeypot is to trap the hacker zero day exploits Known signatures and to stop the attack life cycle without compromising any hosts in the network newline newline
