Abstract: TiO2 nanorods based thin films were synthesized using titanium newlinebutoxide by hydrothermal method The structural and optical properties of the newlineTiO2 films have been studied using Xray diffraction method scanning newlineelectron microscope high resolution transmission electron microscope and newlineUVvisible spectrophotometer The compositional analysis has been carried newlineout using energy dispersive Xray analysis EDAX The FESEM images newlineshow that the prepared TiO2 films are made of sea grass like nanorod newlinestructures The nanorods are found to be grouped together forming bunches newlineEDAX pattern of TiO2 thin film confirms that the TiO2 film has a newlinecomposition of Ti 27 18 at and O 72 82 at newline newline
