Abstract: | Induction motors are the widespread workhorse of industries due to newlinetheir ruggedness smaller size efficiency low maintenance and cost effective newlineperformance Condition monitoring of these motors are essential to avoid newlineproduction shutdown personnel injuries and wastage of the materials newlineExisting high performance condition monitoring and control methods need newlineprecise knowledge about the motor and its parameters for effective fault newlinediagnosis After extensive literature survey on fault diagnosis it is clear that newlinethough many research work are dedicated to fault diagnosis with various newlinetechnologies the effectiveness of a specific methodology for all types of newlinefaults are not discussed However it should also be mentioned that it is very newlinedifficult to find a single method suitable for all types of fault classification newlineand identification newline newline |
