dc.description.abstractEducation is the foundation of human development. It develops the personality of child and beautifies it. Education guides the child to make his conduct, activities and behaviour socially useful. It is only through education that man is able to adopt healthy attitude towards society, nation and whole world and can perform his duty well. In the words of Raymont, Education is that process of development which consist the passage of human being from infancy to maturity the process whereby he adapts himself gradually in various ways of his physical, social and spiritual environment. Education is a lifelong process and continues from cradle to grave. In a real sense, education is to humanize humanity, and make life civilized, cultured and progressive. newlineEveryday man learns something through daily experiences. His/ her involvement in learning is characterised by absorption, vigor and dedication. But this learning needs more importantly strategy/ style on the part of student to construct his/her knowledge. Depending upon the numerous styles available, students can adopt any of the style for information processing. Learning style are the characteristics and preferred ways in which a person used to gather, identify and process information (Fleming, 2001). Learning styles help the students to learn the subject matter very easily and in this activity teachers can play very important role. Malathi and Malini (2006); Shrama (2011) indicated that students having higher academic score, have better learning style and it is easy for the teachers to teach them. Students can take the help of teachers for identification of learning styles. Learning style helps the student to be autonomous in learning and gives confidence for making interaction with the environment. For learning, environment plays an important role. Individual newline
