Abstract: Chemical carcinogen urethane was used for genesis of liver cancer to form tumour to study the regulation of HMGB1 biomolecule in vivo condition in BALB/c mice model along with other inflammatory cytokine genes such as IL-1and#946;, IL-6, IL-18 and TNF-and#945; along with related TF NF-and#954;B gene at transcriptional level. Many medicinal plants contain phenolic compounds that have anti-cancerous properties due to antioxidant and other unknown activities. One of such phenolic compound chlorogenic acid (CGA) which was commonly present in most of the medicinal plants has been used to study its role in the regulation of HMGB1 either direct or indirect interaction and thus regulating above mentioned inflammatory cytokines and TF. newline
