Adolescence is a time of major development change in an individual s life The developmental tasks of adolescent are universal How these tasks are perceived by adolescents and by society areinfluenced by culture subculture lifestyle beliefs practice among newlineurban and rural adolescents For parents with adolescents with newlinehearing impairment the passage through normal developmental stages newlinebecomes more complicated because hearing impairment affects newlinedifferent aspects of development in various ways As deafness is a newlinecommunication disability and a sensory defect the adolescent may not newlinebe able to communicate clearly about his her own needs thoughts and newlineexperiences clearly and his her parents may also not be able to newlinecommunicate with him her adequately Even the hearing aid only newlineamplifies the sound and the deaf child requires lot of auditory and newlinespeech training for communication
