Abstract: | Cloud computing is expanding its customer base at a enormous speed now a days. The demand of resources is increasing with the increase in number of users over cloud. So resource allocation policies are needed to be refined to make better utilization of sharable resources. Large number of users generates large number of requests for resources resulting in competition between the allocation of resources to these requests and thus congestion of requested resource. This paper proposes a new method for allocating resources to many users simultaneously with increased throughput over the conventional round robin load balancing algorithm. Various requests for resources like bandwidth, processing ability and stored resources like file downloading and video streaming etc. are directed to multiple virtual centers by cloud resource manager using new throttled load balancing algorithm. It is demonstrated by simulation evaluation using CloudSim simulator that the proposed method yield better results by processing more number of requests in given time over conventional load balancing methods. |
