Abstract: Women are the most important part of any society and family, and community. newlineWomen s health is considered to be the foremost need of any society. There can be newlinedevelopment in any sphere, politics, economics, and science but nothing can be achieved newlinewhen women s health is neglected. The health of the future generation depends on the newlinehealth of the women (Parkavi, 2016). Menopause begins with irregular menstrual cycle and newlinecomplete cessation altogether (Sharon et. al., 2014).The Menopause Society of India is newlineworking towards helping women understand how they can be responsible for their own well newlinebeing. Though awareness about menopause is growing, most of the women in India have a newlinehistory of self denial and neglect. Hence the need of the hour is to conduct awareness newlinecampaigns to inform women, general public and health workers about menopause and newlineassociated health. Yoga is considered as an alternate and complimentary therapy in newlinemanaging menopausal problems. Yoga is an enjoyable exercise that increases the quality of newlinelife and reduces menopausal symptoms. Hatha yoga is an old system that includes the newlinepractice of asanas (yoga postures) and pranayama (breathing exercises), which brings newlinepeace to the mind and body. The study was one of the pioneer studies in order to improve newlinethe health of women in the post reproductive age. The study on Effect of intervention newlineprogramme on problems experienced by women during menopause was framed with the newlinefollowing objectives to Explore the problems experienced by women at menopause, conduct newlinethe awareness programme to women on menopausal problems, implement yoga therapy to newlinemanage the problems during menopause, evaluate the impact of intervention programme on newlineproblems experienced by women during menopause and Identify the intensity of hot flushes newlineexperienced by the women.160 Women aged 40-55 years of age were selected for the study newlineusing purposive sampling. Survey was conducted to explore the menopausal problems. Pretest was conducted to assess the knowledge on menopause.
