Abstract: The present era of globalization poses a very tough competition to engineering newlinegraduates as the knowledge of the subject concerned is not enough and it does not newlineguarantee him/her to get a job of choice. In such a situation an engineering graduate newlineneeds to have an adequate command over his/her English language skills newline(communication skills) in order to have an edge over other contestants. In the age of newlinecut-throat competition, engineering graduates are required to be equipped with a set of newlineskills that would probably guarantee them a good job. An engineering graduate should newlinebe able to solve work problems, and able to communicate properly in groups. newline
