Access to justice for female victims of violence in a matrimonial relationship an assessment

Abstract

This chapter is introductory in nature and reveals the conceptual newlinecontext of the study. To begin with, the problem pertaining to newlinematrimonial violence in the Indian context has been stated and newlinelinked with barriers in accessing justice mechanisms. While stating newlinethe problem, attention has been paid to recent developments in the newlinearea of work. Apart from the introduction, this chapter also newlinediscusses the methodology of research and review of literature. newlineSources of data and the nature of it as well as the method in which newlinethe entire research was conducted have been captured in this newlinechapter. Further, research gaps based on earlier research findings newlinehave been identified and the methods through which such gaps may newlinebe plugged have been discussed. newline
