Abstract: | Wireless communication systems have changed the way of interaction throughout the world. Advancement in the technology and devices has increased the access rate and accuracy of the information transferred. The requirement of mobility and integration of different radio modules into the same equipment leads to the system and devices with multi frequency characteristics. As antenna is a key component of any wireless device, it plays significant role in defining the performance and characteristics of these devices. Therefore the design of an antenna for wireless system has become popular research topic among researchers and experts from industries and universities. It is difficult to simultaneously integrate multiple antennas and a diplexer into a single device due to the limited space. This indicates that advanced antenna design requires not only the function of providing a dual or multiband operation, but also must be simple, compact and easy to integrate. Among different types of antennas, microstrip printed antennas are the most promisable candidate for use in compact system because of their various advantages such as low profile, simple structure, ease of integration and low fabrication cost. Multiband antennas with circular polarization has arisen considerable concern because of their distinct advantages over LP antennas. CPMA is desirable in wireless communication as it allows flexibility in the orientation angle of transmitter and receiver, better mobility, mitigation of multipath interference, increase data rate capacity and resistant to weather conditions. The CP antennas are becoming trendy in many wireless communication systems such as radar, GPS systems, RFID, reader for health care devices, LEO and MEO satellite communication and wireless local area network systems. newline newline newline |
