dc.description.abstractResearch has shown that obesity and diabetes have a negative effect towards health but most of the studies focus at issues such as heart disease and other systemic effects But obesity and diabetes affect the entire body the feet are affected This has been ignored or misinformed and there is less concern about how to maintain healthy and well functioning feet The chief objectives of treatment among the individuals with foot problems are mainly pain relief restoration of mechanics alignment motion and or load distribution and returning the patient to their desired level of activity Hence this work was carried out to inquire into and evaluate this possibility In the present study it has been showed that 33 08 percentage of the males 28 82 percentage of females had flat arch foot and 22 point 71 percentage of males and 23 point 19 percentage of the females had high arch foot Weight loss exercises and lifestyle modifications had showed significant changes in the flat arch foot among 76 percentage of the male 72 percentage of the female patients In high arch 22 percentage of the male and 18 percentage of the female patients had shown positive changes The present study also concludes that obesity and diabetes are one of the causative factors for the problems of the arch and toes Lifestyle modifications comprising diet patterns weight loss and arch strengthening exercises supporting the arches with appropriate custom made foot wears insoles and taping technique helps in reducing the severity of the flat arch and high arch foot newline
