Abstract: | physicist, Richard Feynman in his talk on There s Plenty of Room at the Bottom in the American Physical Society meeting at Caltech, US held on 29th December 1959 proposed a possibility of manipulating the matters in their atomic scale, which opened up a door way to nanoscience and nanotechnology. Today, such prophecy has come true as we are witnessing it in a variety of industries and scientific newlineendeavors. The advancements in nanotechnology have provided tools to create functional materials and systems by controlling materials at the atomic and molecular scales, through which nanomaterials demonstrate novel properties and phenomena. newline newline |
