dc.description.abstractPresent day technological advances and the need to stay competitive demands enhancement of thinking. There is dire need to acquaint people with thinking and newlineinnovative attitudes and skills which, in turn, will foster their creativity. The distinctiveness of this study was to investigate the Effectiveness of Thinking Training Programme CoRT on the basis of Creativity of students of higher Education in fazilka district (Punjab).CoRT Strategy was found to be highly significant in comparison to Lecture Method in terms of facilitation of Verbal Creativity among students of higher education. The study will help the stack holders i.e. teachers, teacher educators, parents, administrators, educational planners, students and text book writers to set goals and objectives by keeping in mind the dire need to develop thinking and in turn Creativity which is one aspect of thinking leading to empowerment and self-reliance. Since students spend much of their time in educational institutes hence, such programmes should be made mandatory part of curricula for acquaintance of life skills. Thus, the present study carries wide implications and contemporary relevance around the globe.
