A Biblioprofile Consolidation Package of Information on Entomology

Abstract

Libraries are existed to provide services to the users. The subject like entomology biotechnology, bioinformatics are growing constantly. The entomology is not only the branch of Zoology and Agriculture as we classify from library point of view. It has grown and further branched such Agricultural, Economic, Medical and Forensic etc. Entomology deals with study of insects. They are the major class of animals with huge population influenced activities of all living organisms. There is lot of literature available on it but many times it remains out of reach of concern users. Considering this fact efforts are made in this research to suggest a way of A biblioprofile consolidation package of information on entomology. This Thesis is divided into two parts. First part consists of Five Chapters and second part list of useful resources. newlineChapterization: newline1. Introduction: An overview of information consolidation and repackaging: This chapter describes the concepts related to the problem such as information consolidation, information repackaging, and repackaging, biblioprofile, information, importance of entomology in human life, need of information organisation on entomology and outline of the research etc. newlineThis chapter begins with the basic role of academic libraries mentions the scenario around 1980 onwards continuous and diversified research specially in science discipline resulted in increasing the volume of information beyond the reach of common users. newlineHence to overcome this problem thoughtful approach of information consolidation and repackaging has been found an effective tool to control overflow information. Information consolidation is the process of collecting, evaluating and reorganising or repacking it in more usable form for the defined group of users and this is basic purpose of the IC. This has many advantages such as it saves time, easy to understand, relevant information comes under one capsule and so on.
