dc.description.abstractThe age group of students studying in the higher secondary level is approximately 16 to 18. Psychologically this age group is considered as unstable and called as Adolescence age group. Emotionally these students are very much sensitive. Therefore it is important to think about different aspects of their imagination power, Understanding of different concepts, ability to think differently etc. Physical, mental, intellectual and emotional changes took place very much rapidly in these students. Their behavior becomes unstable. They find it difficult to adopt such conditions. A strange excitement takes place in their behavior, thinking and emotions. Their attraction towards Physical changes increases. Though this period is mentally strong it creates sentimental strain. Researcher himself is working as a Assistant Teacher of Mathematics at higher secondary level of science Branch. Therefore he is daily in contact with these age group students. Through his observation he found that these age group students have ability to study and work with different methods. Their creativity as well as differently thinking ability is incredible. However while studying the achievement of some students researcher did not find the achieved qualities as per the merit their creative thinking ability. Therefore researcher decided to study the relationship between creativity and academic achievement in Mathematics so researcher elects this subject for the research. newline newline
