Abstract: The main aim of this research is to determine the relationship between Emotional Intelligence, Personality Traits and Job Performance in five selected industries of the Indian Service Sector. To obtain this, the study used three measurement scales including Deepa Krishnaveni Emotional Intelligence Test (DKEIT); Job Performance Inventory (JPI) and Multivariate Personality Inventory (MPI). These questionnaires were distributed to the 685 Middle-level managers of the five selected service sectors in India, IT, Banking/Insurance, Advertising/Media, Health Care, and Education. Snowball sampling method was used to collect data from the middle level managers. Data analysis was done using the Statistical Package of Social Sciences, SPSS 23.0 version. newline The results revealed that Emotional Intelligence has a positive relationship with Personality Traits and Emotional Intelligence also predicts Job Performance of the middle level managers in the Indian Service Sector. As far as demographic variables are concerned, females scored higher in Emotional Intelligence as compared to the males in the industry. It was also found that Emotional Intelligence is positively related to age, as one grows, his ability to regulate and understand emotions becomes better. Emotional Perception and Emotional Regulation are positively correlated with Personality Trait 2 (Ego-Ideal and Empathy) and Personality Trait 3 (Self-Confidence). Job Performance was predicted by higher scores of Emotional Perception, Emotional Appraisal and Emotional Regulation, thus implying the overall influence of Emotional Intelligence on Job Performance. newline
