Title: Synthesis and Characterization of Rare Earth La3plus Substituted Ni Co Zn Nanoferrites by Sol Gel Technique

Abstract: In the present work, rare earth element La3+ was substituted Nickel, Cobalt, and Zinc. The Co0.5Zn0.5 LaxFe2-xO4, Ni0.5Zn0.5LaxFe2-xO4, Ni0.4Co0.4 Zn0.2LaxFe2-xO4 where (x = 0.0, 0.025, 0.050, 0.075, 0.100, 0.125) and Ni0.5Co0.5LaxFe2-xO4 (where x=0.0, 0.1, 0.175, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4, 0.5) nanoferrite was prepared successfully using sol-gel autocombustion method. All materials are in nitrate forms and of the AR grade. The structural properties of the prepared samples such as XRD and EDAX were studied. The parameters like particle grain size, lattice parameters, bulk density, X-ray density, Porosity was determined from XRD. The chemical composition was studied from EDAX. The morphological properties were analyzed using the SEM and TEM techniques. The VSM was used to study the magnetic properties of prepared nano ferrite. The band gap energies of prepared samples were calculated from the UV Visible Spectrum. The elastic and optical properties were studied using the FTIR. The TGDTA analysis was done for the Thermal Properties. The dielectric constant and dielectric loss was also studied. The electrical properties of the prepared samples such dc resistivity, dc conductivity was measured using the Two Probe Method. It was observed that few researchers have works on Lanthanum doped ferrite. Such ferrite has several applications like transformers, inductor cores, recording heads, magnetic shielding, and microwave devices. It is essential to study the Physics at low dimensions. Hence, synthesis and characterization of La3+substituted Ni-Co-Zn nanocrystalline ferrites was studied using sol-gel auto combustion method. newline
