Title: Management practice in Banking sector a comparative study between India and Yemen

Abstract: In this study the perception aspects of HR management practices, general newlinemanagement practices, role of IT in the management practices and financial newlinemanagement practices of the employees of banking sector have been studied newlineacross two countries namely India and Yemen. The perception of various newlineemployees working in the departments such as Accounts/Audit, Clearing. newlineCustomer care, finance and recovery has been collected through a structured newlineand validated questionnaire. In general the questions were related to the newlinedemographic information and four main areas such as HR practices, role of newlineIT, management practice and financial management practices etc. The newlinequestionnaire was circulated among the employees working in the above newlinementioned departments of banking sector in selected banks from India and newlineYemen. A total of 100 respondents from India and 119 respondents from newlineYemen have responded to the questionnaires circulated among them by the newlineresearcher. Overall response rate was 73.5% in India and 83.2% in Yemen. newlineThe non-respondents which include incomplete questionnaire filled-up or newlineunwilling to answer have been 26.5% in India and 16.8% in Yemen. newlineIn the present study, the main area of investigation is a comparison of newlinefactors related to HR, management practices, IT and financial management newlinepractice across two countries. It is important to note that HR and overall newlinemanagement practices are approximately equally distributed between India newlineand Yemen. However, appreciation on IT and overall financial management newlinepractices have differently appreciated by the employees of banking sector newlinefrom India and Yemen. newline
