Abstract: | Research found that family and/or friends having high mean values, so these factors considered most important promotional sources of information for destination choice, so healthcare service provider and government should emphasize more towards this variable to promote medical tourism in Gujarat state. Research found that factors such as internet (Websites), commercial advertisement, travel magazines and brochure and travel agents having least mean values so, healthcare service provider (Private hospitals) should make policies and take initiatives for improvement in above factors to promote medical tourism effectively and efficiently into Gujarat State. Research found that various demographic factors like age, income (Domestic), occupation, marital status and education qualifications etc. have significant impact on destination choice. So, private hospitals should also give more focus on demographic factors like age, income (Domestic), occupation, marital status and education qualifications to promote Gujarat State as a medical tourism destination. Research found that problem recognition, motivation, information search, destination image, destination attributes, marketing mix and destination competitiveness have significant contribution in destination choice decision and tourist s experiences and satisfaction have significant contribution in intention to revisit and recommend to others. So, for healthcare service provider should easily know which independent factors contributes more for take a destination choice decision and intention to visit and recommendation to others. |
