Abstract: | Specifically, there is a demand of applications that enable collaboration among these mobile devices and their users. It is also natural to conduct that the users have different need and different way to collaborate while carrying the mobile devices. For example, the personal needs of persons from single family wishing to collaborate with their devices in a home environment are different from a group of people participating in a meeting need to decide the time of the next meeting. We require different mobile applications for a different purpose. The mobile application market is moving fast as more and more powerful phones are being introduced. This short renewal time speeds up the adoption of new technology and creates a demand for applications utilizing new technology. If the developing time for a new application is too long, then it will most probably get outdated by the time it is developed. This problem is best addressed by developing a collaborative application framework, using which different applications can be developed. It is also possible to develop custom services which can be executed and provide specific utility and relies upon application framework that meets the specific need of a particular user. It may require a significantly longer period of time to develop a framework rather than a single application. However, a completed framework enables higher productivity and shorter development time for the actual applications, because of the facility to reuse the code and design. The proposed research work focus on developing such application framework which satisfies the need of developing a different collaborative application for a specific need. The proposed framework will be designed and develop from the set of requirements derived from the different scenario for collaborative application, specific domain knowledge and by considering the new technological platform. As a next step, using proposed framework, an application is developed and tested with the set of requirements. |
