| Abstract: | Rock magnetism is a science dealing with the intrinsic magnetic properties of newlineenvironmental samples. Magnetic susceptibility, anhysteretic and isothermal remanences are newlineknown to be the main intrinsic magnetic properties of materials. These properties are unique newlinefor a substance with a particular concentration, composition and (magnetic) grain size of newlinemagnetic minerals. Hence, rock magnetic data of an environmental sample indicates the newlineconcentration, mineralogy and (magnetic) grain size of magnetic minerals present in it. newline |
