Abstract

The thesis entitled Asymmetric Synthesis of amines by the applications of (S) or (R) tert -butanesulfinamide and study on synthesis of 3-haloalkyl-1,2-benzisoxazoles has been divided into five chapters. newlineCHAPTER 1: Deals with the introduction to the chemistry of N-tert -butanesulfinyl imines, chiral amine drugs and 3-substituted-1,2-benzisoxazoles. It also deals with brief introduction to pharmacological importance of (i) anti-hypertensive drug-Tamsulosin hydrochloride (ii) cholinergic agent-(S)-Rivastigmine hydrogentartarate and calcimimetic agent-(R)-Tecalcet hydrochloride/(+)-NPS-R-568 (iii) calcimimetic drug-Cinacalcet hydrochloride and (iv) anti-psychotic drug Zonisamide. newline
